Asheville and Buncombe County's oldest brick residence, circa 1840, contains seven decades of furnished period rooms, and history exhibits. Early Asheville history Is featured in an introductory film. Asheville's first entrepreneur, a Civil War soldier, and several millionaires and their families resided in the house over the years.
