Built in 1910, this neo Colonial architectural home was the medical office of Dr. Robert Smith, brother of Gertrude Smith who is the benefactor of the Gilmer-Smith House Foundation. The home is on the National Register of Historic Places and features exhibits of local and historical significance. The Memorial Park and botanical gardens, located behind the house, are the setting for the Summer Music Series in the Park.
