The NCSD Historical Museum (Historic Rusmisell Museum Society) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of education for the deaf in North Carolina. The history dates back to the establishment of the NC Institute of the Deaf and Dumb and the Blind in Raleigh, NC in 1845, and the establishment of the NC School for the Deaf in Morganton, NC in 1894.
