The Monteith Farmstead is an unusually intact representation of a 20th-century Appalachian farm and homestead. Situated along Scotts Creek, the sixteen acre Farmstead is comprised of a 1907 farmhouse and outbuildings; including a barn, combination canning and wash house, a lean-to shed for farm equipment and a flower house. The Farmstead is currently undergoing restoration to create a home for the Appalachian Women's Museum.
