The Museum holds public programs, publishes a newsletter and books on county history, pursues genealogical and historical research and promotes historic preservation. The Museum is housed in the Pendergrass Building, circa 1904, an excellent example of early 20th century retail store design, complemented by original fixtures and a variety of artifact and photographs of Macon County's past.
