Clay County Museum features a native American artifact collection, photo collection ca.1893-1900s of the town of Hayesville's development, early farm kitchen, loom and clothing from the 1800s and an original switchboard from 1916. Most notable is the handmade quilt from women on the Trail of Tears in 1838.
